Welcome to the 2012-2013 Girl Scout Year!
August 2012
Dear Girl Scout Friend,
Volunteers, such as you, are the foundation of this preeminent organization for girls. All of us here at Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts value your support and commitment in your role as a Girl Scout volunteer. We look forward to a fun-filled, energetic year with you!
To assist you in getting ready for the upcoming year, the Membership Services team sends this start-up email with important information and resources for you to utilize throughout the year. We encourage you to keep this email handy so you can refer to it easily - clicking the underlined links will provide you the most up-to-date information.
As we get moving into the next 100 years of Girl Scouts, we are very excited to announce our Girl Scouts Get Moving Health Initiative. This initiative will educate girls on health, fitness and wellness in a variety of ways. There are many opportunities for girls to experience new activities and keep active all year long through our Girl Scout programs.
Yours in Girl Scouting,
Violet M. Apple

GET READY, GET SET, GET GOING |
Use E-BIZ to re-register electronically for 2012 - 2013!
It's never too early or too late to register for Girl Scouts. All re-registrations through September 29, 2012 will be done online. Learn how to use E-BIZ.
2012-2013 Online Volunteer Agreement
Beginning September 6, 2012 all volunteers are expected to read and accept the online volunteer agreement for 2012-13. This agreement must be completed each year prior to meeting with girls, collecting girls' personal information, collecting money, handling product, and other duties as described in your volunteer position description. This is a critical component of your volunteer experience addressing the support you will receive from Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, the expectations for your role as a volunteer, and the security of your personal information and the girls around you. |

GET ACTIVE |
Get Moving
Changing the world for the better starts with taking care of yourself. This year Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts will deliver more than 40 Girl Scout programs to help girls stay active and fit. Many of these programs count towards earning a Super Patch. Now you can get the GSUSA resource that supports the healthy habits outlined in each journey for free. |
|

Get Included
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is proud to honor Juliette Gordon Low's legacy of including all girls with the introduction of the Inclusion Patch. Girls in grades K-10 can earn the patch by learning how to include everyone in Girl Scouts, at school, and at home. Learn how to earn the Inclusion Patch. |
