Save BIG year round!

Lakeshore Community Cash has extended its 3% discount!  Purchase over $5,000 in Lakeshore Community Cash and receive 3% savings.  In the past, this discount was only offered during the holiday season, but we have extended the promotion year round!

"We had such a great response to the 3% savings when we offered it during the holidays that we wanted to offer it year round as an incentive for employers to use all the time," says Meg Boertman, the Lakeshore Community Cash Program Manager. "It's a WIN-WIN-WIN-WIN: Employers save money, the program continues to grow and succeed, employees are happy to be rewarded, and merchants have more opportunity to accept certificates.  All of these keep cash in our community and support the local merchants which is the goal of the program!"

Lakeshore Community Cash is a gift certificate program that keeps money in our community and offers Muskegon residents and businesses an easy platform for gift giving.  There are currently over 70 local merchants who accept Lakeshore Community Cash!  Click here to learn more.

Meet Megan!

Please help me in welcoming, Megan Jones, the newest addition to your Chamber team.  She is the Events and Promotions Specialist.  She will be working hand-in-hand with Carla Flanders on some of your Chamber’s large scale events in addition to much more!

If Megan looks familiar, it is because you have seen her in the Chamber office before!  She interned with the Chamber last year and was involved heavily in the Lakeshore Art Festival.

Megan is very excited to join your Chamber team. Feel free to pop in the Chamber office and say hello!

We Need You!

Are you Muskegon STAR! certified?  So far, your Chamber has certified over 800 Muskegon Stars!  Becoming Muskegon STAR! certified allows you and your staff to participate in a multitude of volunteer opportunities.

This summer, we will welcome two cruise ships, the Pearl Mist and the Victory Cruise Ship.  Your Chamber is always in need of STAR! volunteers to ensure our cruise visitors are welcomed into the community.  Click here to learn how you can get involved as a volunteer for cruise ships this summer.

Our Muskegon STARS! are the first to receive communications on many volunteer opportunities including the Lakeshore Art Festival! Click here to volunteer for the Lakeshore Art Festival.

Member Benefit: Sue Carpenter

We really strive to give our members the best benefits possible.  One huge benefit is your Chamber staff.

This month, we would like to highlight Sue Carpenter.  Sue is the Membership Relationship Manager - also known as the Connection Connoisseur!  She is your go-to resource for all things membership. Most times, you will see her hitting the streets - literally - to meet with current and prospective members.

She is also available for relocation tours.  If you have a potential employee considering a move or visiting the area, Sue can be your guide!

Your Chamber is here to help you! So, please reach out to Sue as a resource for your business.  Click Here to email Sue or give her a call at 231-722-3751.
