Lisa Louise Cooke_s Genealogy Gems

Last week I mentioned that my dad was coming to visit, and it was another rare chance for 4 generations of our family to be together. I invited you to share your stories of reunions and get-togethers! Here's what one Gem sent in:

The Ashworth Family
"The attached [photo] is from the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg.  It's the four generations of Ashworths - Paul, Steven, Steve, and Kaden.  Following the reenactment, we did 3 days in Washington, DC before heading back to Cincinnati."
- Paul

What a wonderful trip, to not only connect with your own family history, but to revisit history itself! Touring historical landmarks is great way to nudge your family towards history, as well as discover the role their ancestors played in it.

Lisa and family
Keep sending in your stories - they are so inspiring and I love to share them!

Thanks for listening friend,
Lisa
