BPOs: The Agent's Role in the Valuation Process
With the changing real estate landscape and the increased use of broker price opinions (BPOs) by market participants, the National Association of REALTORS® is offering a new certification, BPO Resource, recognizing REALTORS® who have completed NAR's new BPO education program. The new certification course provides REALTORS® with knowledge and skills to reduce risk and increase opportunities to create professional and accurate BPOs and CMAs.
Whether you are experienced at preparing broker price opinions or are new to the business, this brand-new course from NAR will provide you with the knowledge and skills to reduce your risk and increase your opportunities by creating professional and accurate BPOs.
Many lenders are asking real estate licensees to perform BPOs for short sales and pre-foreclosures. Do you know the legal requirements in Maine of a real estate licensee who performs a BPO or CMA for compensation? Do you know what the lender expects of a real estate licensee who performs a BPO? Have you avoided BPOs because you thought they were too complicated? Come to this course to learn the legal requirements in Maine and lender expectations. You may be surprised that they are not as complicated as you thought.
