Valborg: Spring Bonfire and Concert, April 28th,

6pm-10pm, 

Welcome Spring in typical Swedish fashion, with a lively bonfire and a performance by the Swedish Museum Singers. The best hot dogs this side of Broad Street, drinks and dessert will be served. 

 

New Date for Spring Cooking class! June 9th, 10:30am-2pm

Join our three Swedish chefs for the Spring Cooking Class! Watch them prepare a Midsommar Smörgåsbord, and then enjoy the fruits of their labor with a tasty meal.

Waffle Day
March 25, 11am- 3pm 
 
 
Every March 25th, in honor of Annunciation Day, Swedes eat waffles. Intrigued by this tradition?
Stop by the museum for Waffle Day to get the whole story, along with some tasty Swedish waffles, served with whipped cream, strawberry jam, and coffee (or lingonberry juice for the kids). 
 
Tickets are $10, and include waffles, drinks and museum admission. Pay at the door.

Easter Workshop and Egg Hunt

April 1st, 2pm-4pm

 

Introduce your little ones to Swedish Easter traditions. Similar to American Halloween celebrations, children can dress up as Easter witches, make Swedish Easter crafts, and enjoy face painting, followed by an egg hunt on the museum grounds (weather permitting). 

 

Admission is $8 for non-members. Free for members and children 2 years and under. Pay at the door.
