Signature Tiles
In partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale, Riverwalk unveils its Art in Public Places Program with the initial installation of four pieces along Riverwalk. The program supports art that is creative, well crafted and integrated into the physical, cultural and historical aspect of the community. The pieces in this initial installation includes Sailboats from Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale by local artist Pat Anderson, NOVA/MOA, Downtown Development Authority and a magnificent mosaic Sailfish from local artist, Nadine Egan Floyd.
The first four pieces of Art in Public Places will be mounted to a 3' wide x 6' long x 4'6" tall concrete pedestal. The top 12" of each pedestal contains two rows of 6" tall x 12" wide porcelain tiles. Each of these limited addition tiles can be engraved with two lines of copy.
Funds raised from tile sales support Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale. Some of Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale's iconic contributions to the park include the Victorian Clock in the historic district, Riverwalk benches, colorful banners and the mosaic tile mural on the Andrews Avenue Bridge. Details
