Talk about a CATHARSIS!!?? Even I am embarrassed now.

This Verse is mainly quoted ONLY in context to the STUDY of the Bible, but.......
please allow me to expand on this one word-STUDY.
While discussing the Bible and God's Work in general with a fellow Minister last week, he bemoaned the FACT that "too many Preachers do not hone their craft!"
In other words, they do not take the time to "do (give) diligence, be diligent (forward), endeavour, labour, study."
I cannot find verification of this quote alleged to be from MLK, but it goes something like this:
"
Sundays in Church are the LOCKER ROOM, and the remaining days of the week our playing/battle fields of life!!!"
In other words, brethren, we need to be PREPARED/TRAINED for life and battle!!
Every Sunday, MILLIONS and MILLIONS of people sit transfixed in front of their wide-screen, flat televisions and gasp at the theatrics of TRAINED athletes as they PERFORM at dizzying heights of magnificence.
But their electrifying act is one learned on the sidelines of PRACTICE!!!!
And YES, perhaps they were GIVEN amazing God-given abilities BUT they also "HONED/WORKED their craft with hours, days, weeks, months, and even years of UN-seen PRACTICE and old fashioned WORK ETHIC!!!!!!!
Some people have been known to spend their entire lives carving amazing and intricate caves or planting beautiful fields of flowers.
Others build amazing sand castles only to watch them wash away at the changing of the tide.
What are WE-YOU AND I-doing for and with the Lord!!??
Are We HONING our craft FOR THE LORD!!?? Are we

I WELL remember singing in a wedding a few years ago, at a Church I had never been before.
As I stood on that stage to sing, I saw a sign hanging at the BACK of the Sanctuary that simply stated:

AUDIENCE OF ONE!"
The sign was APPROPRIATELY hung so that the performer-the one on stage- would be properly forewarned of who he/she was performing for!!!!

As such, I begin (Lord willing?) taking voice lessons next Thursday!!
I have no idea the reasoning and why-I just feel "led of the Lord" to do so!?
OUR journey is not over until we are under the earth and on the way to Heaven!!!
