The Real Sub/Sat System

Most desktop sub/sat systems are pretty underwhelming. We aimed to change this with a creative solution using great sounding equipment. In our last newsletter, we discussed the prowess of the NAD D3020. This integrated amplifier is the natural choice for this system. Add a pair of Cambridge Minx 21 speakers and a REL T-Zero and you have a very achieving compact system for your desk or bedroom. It could even work in a smaller living space with your TV.

The Surprising Sony HAP-S1 Hi-Res Music Player System

We weren't quite sure what to think when waiting to get the Sony HAP-S1 in. Unboxing this unit quickly surprised with its excellent build quality and hefty feel. Very cool looking and compact design (10 � x 10 � x 3 � in). This piece does everything with its built in 40 watt/channel amplifier, internal 500GB hard drive, great looking screen, and intuitive remote app. It is as simple as hooking up speakers and transferring some of your files to the hard drive and you're ready to listen.

If 500GB isn't enough for you, they put a USB input in the back for external hard drives. Play multiple file types, including DSD. At only $1,000, the Hap-S1 is an extreme value. We have multiple speaker options to pair with the HAP-S1.
