At this time of the year, many of us remember loved ones that have passed.  Since 1992, Morrill Worcester of the Worcester Wreath Company and a group of volunteers have been making an annual tribute to remember deceased veterans by placing wreaths on graves at Arlington National Cemetery .
 
This simple act has grown into an national organization,  Wreaths Across America. In 2 014 alone they laid over 700,000 memorial wreaths at 1,000 locations in the United States and beyond, including the Pearl Harbor Memorial, Bunker Hill, Valley Forge, and the sites of the September 11 tragedies.   Visit their website to learn more, donate, or participate in the wreath laying ceremonies.

"I was introduced to this cut of beef as a child. My grandmother would sear them and then "pot" them. Basically cooking them like pot roast. They are melt in your mouth tender, served with mashed potatoes and green beans in sour cream (another German dish). This method guarantees a delicious meal. You have to know how to cook the cut!"

Mickey says: "Looking for a simple, seasonal way to include some healthy greens as well as incorporate those delicious fresh cranberries that are popping up in stores around the country? This time of year, I buy a big container of fresh cranberries weekly and use them in everything-braised meat dishes, salad toppings, and added to stir-frys like this one. Besides being a good source of antioxidants, they add a wonderful tart kick, especially when used raw, or lightly cooked.  This is a great addition to a meat dish for a seasonal meal, or you could include it on your holiday menu."

Chilly grazing conditions in north Missouri this past week as the cattle prepare for much colder days ahead.  The Missouri cattle are certainly jealous of their south Alabama cousins!

  • $75 minimum purchase requirement, since we have built the cost of shipping into the price of each product.
  • You will never be charged extra for shipping.
  • There is a $7.50 handling fee upon checkout.
  • The South Carolina Chicken Bundles, BBQ Sauce, produce and cookbooks ship from separate locations, so they are not included in the 7 lb weight minimum.  The shopping cart will keep track and remind you if your order is under the 7 lb limit.   
Weight Discount
  • Receive a $25 discount for every 40 pounds you order. This offer excludes items that ship separate such as the South Carolina Chicken, produce and fresh bundles.
