Imagine an adventure to an 11th century-style castle led by a King and his Noble Court. Every detail is painstakingly recreated as the children take a personal journey back to the Middle Ages. Step back in time and experience spectacular horsemanship, amazing swordplay, medieval games of skill and an authentic jousting tournament between six brave knights of the realm. As the tournament takes place, the castle's serfs and wenches serve a feast fit for a King!

Experience Dog Sledding and Sled Dogs!

Maryland Sled Dog Adventures LLC offers hands on programs teaching Girl Scouts about dog sledding, dry land (wheeled) dog sledding and sled dogs. Girl Scouts will work closely with our team of well behaved sled dogs harnessing the dogs and learning all about sled dogs including: what the dogs eat; how the dogs are trained; the positions on a dog team; and the commands used in dog sledding. Each girl will also take a short individual ride with our team of sled dogs.
Fees: $40 per girl and their tagalongs. Adults are free. ( Fee includes patch and light snack)

Craft Works at Cool Springs Outdoor Festival

Come visit CraftWorks at Cool Springs for their Outdoor Festival. Contemporary Folk Music will be performed by ilyAIMY and LEA. Luscious Food cooked onsite by our volunteers (burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers) as well as drinks, fresh popped popcorn and ice cream. $3 gets you the sandwich of your choice, chips and condiments. Drinks, popcorn and yummy ice cream are $1 each! The Citizens Independent Fire Company will be showing kids their fire truck, equipment and ambulance, demonstrating "drop and roll," and bandaging techniques. A representative from the Martinsburg and Frederick GSCNC office will be on site to provide more information about Girl Scouts and a new Girl Scout troop that will be forming at CraftWorks at Cool Springs.
