The World Thinking Day award is now an OFFICIAL Award and it may be worn on the front of the uniform sash or vest.
World Thinking Day award activities are designed to complement Leadership Journeys and reinforce the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Activities are geared for specific grade levels.

A new exhibit, Food for Thought, at the Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences invites visitors to explore the science of healthy eating at every age.
In Food for Thought, shop a virtual grocery store to balance nutrition needs while staying within budget so that every choice counts for you and your family's health. Play a high school cafeteria game where your challenge is to serve healthy and balanced meals that meet national guidelines. Explore nutritional requirements at every stage of life, get the facts on dietary supplements, and test your knowledge in a quiz.

Become an artist and fashionista for the day! Have a fun day of crafting wearable art. Girls will complete many projects to take home such as: embellishing purses, paper dolls (complete with tons of fabric swatches and embellishments), jewelry from unique materials, and more! Girls will also learn about clothing from other countries and cultures as well as decorating and designing cookies in the shapes of fashionable dresses. Come earn these two fun, retired Try-Its! Please bring a bag lunch.
Fees: $35 per girl (includes all supplies, snack, Fashion Try-It, and Art to Wear Try-It)

The Magic of Spying: Trade-Craft Trickery

Join professional magician, Peter Wood, as he demonstrates the art of misdirection, sleight of hand, and other illusions used by skilled spies. This one of a kind performance, custom designed for the Spy Museum, is guaranteed to fascinate children and adults alike.
