Sing Into Spring

Who: Girl Scouts of All Ages


When: Saturday, April 6, 2013 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Where: Camp Winona, Hughesville, MD


Come out to Camp Winona for a FREE afternoon of fun and song! Sing in the spring with the GSCNC Singalong Service! Take part in action songs and games along with your Girl Scout sisters from across the council. Bring your favorite Girl Scout song to share. Pack a picnic lunch to snack on before singing. This event will take place rain or shine.
Please register enough adults to meet the Safety-Wise ratio.

Join Alice and her friends for a new, magical journey through Wonderland.  An exclusive after-show session for Girl Scouts will include a question and answer session with Alice, the Red Queen, the Cheshire Cat, and other friends and a stage tour.

The Labyrinth at The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring

When: The Labyrinth is available all season!

Weekend start times @ 9am, 11:30am, 2pm and 4:30pm

Around the World on Two Wheels - The New Woman: Annie "Londonderry" Kopchovsky


Who: Girl Scout Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors


When: Saturday, March 9, 2013, 11:00 a.m.


Where: US Naval Heritage Center
Washington, DC


Until 1894, there were no female sports stars, no product endorsement deals, and no young, Jewish mothers with the chutzpah to circle the globe on a bicycle. This is a film about Annie Kopchovsky, the eccentric, fiery woman who changed all of that. Come to a special screening of the film just for Girl Scouts and then talk to Gillian Willman, the director of the film, about Annie, bicycling, and becoming a filmmaker.


Fees: $7.50 per person for individual sales
$5 per person for troop sales

100 Ways to Celebrate the
100th Patch Workshop

Who: Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies


When: Saturday, April 13, 2013, 8:30am - 12:00pm


Where: Camp Crowell, Oakton, VA


Looking for an enjoyable way to wrap-up the 100th year of Girl Scouting? Then this is the event for you! Get together with your sister Girl Scouts and earn GSCNC's 100 Ways to Celebrate the 100th patch. Girls will have the chance to do a scavenger hunt around camp, make S'mores and other fun things as they work their way through the 100 Ways to Celebrate the 100th patch program.

Dine-Around Series  


Are you working toward your Gold Award? Have you already earned your Gold Award? If so, we'd love to have you join us for one of our Dine-Arounds this season.


What's a Dine-Around? Dine-Arounds are informal dinners, brunches, teas or other events that are hosted by Women's Advisory Board members at their homes or businesses.  They are a unique chance to gain insight from successful women and will prove to be an amazing networking session. Please note there is no cost to attend a Dine-Around.

Dinner with college aged women who have earned the Gold Award; hosted by Pat McGuire (President, Trinity University). This Dine-Around event allows girls to bring one adult as a guest.

Many of these opportunities come from outside vendors and may require council approval. GSCNC has not inspected these programs or vendors and there are no GSCNC representatives at these events. GSCNC-sponsored programs that have low enrollment may also be listed. If you have questions about any of the information, please communicate with the contact person listed at the end of each item.

If you are a troop leader or other volunteer and no longer wish to receive e-Edition from your Service Unit, please contact the person who forwards it to you directly
