Maryland Youth Ballet's award-winning holiday classic, "THE NUTCRACKER" a full-length traditional ballet, has been thrilling audiences for 22 years with gorgeous costumes, sets, and its cast of accomplished students. Groups of 10+ attending may have a special meet & greet with costumed ballerinas. Reservations must be made in advance.
International Spy Museum Girl Bond Day
Who: Girl Scout Juniors and Cadettes When: December 8, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Where: International Spy Museum 800 F Street, NW Washington, DC 20004 Do you have what it takes to be a spy? Find out at Girl Bond Day at the International Spy Museum. Your spy smarts and street savvy will be put to the test as you enter Spy School and learn the tricks of the trade. Then, your mission begins as you travel to the foreign country of Khandar in Operation Spy. Finally become a code cracker and leave with your own code cracking kit. After the workshop, scouts are invited to visit the newly opened Exquisitely Evil: 50 Years of Bond Villains exhibition. Christmas at Mount Vernon

Mount Vernon decks the halls throughout the estate with themed trees and other holiday touches. Tour the rarely-open third floor of the Mansion, where Martha Washington retired after her husband's death. Learn how chocolate was made in the 18th century with live outdoor demonstrations. New this year: children can also hear engaging tales from Washington's time in special weekend story hours.
