Girl Scouts: Design an App for the White House
A fun and educational challenge! Girls create an app that promotes civic education and/or inspires other girls to serve as leaders in our democracy for the White House "Equal Futures App Challenge." Individuals whose app will be hosted in an app store must submit the app to the store by January 12th, 2013 at 12:00am EDT. Individuals should submit screenshots or video of their working app as well as a link to the app itself. Please provide continuous access to the app, a detailed description, and system requirements.

Gingerbread House Workshop
Who: Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors When: December 20, 21, 27, and 28, 2012 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Where: Tudor Place 1644 31st St NW Washington, DC 20007 Children celebrate the holidays by becoming history detectives as they tour the historic mansion in search of clues as to how holidays were celebrated in the past. Your mission: Enjoy an evening of family BONDing! You are invited for a secret after-hours infiltration of the Museum's newest exhibition, Exquisitely Evil: 50 years of Bond Villains. Families are welcome to this exclusive viewing of the new exhibition complete with Code Cracker competitions, Bond Spy Trivia contests, SPY snacks, hot cocoa, and a chance to explore all forms of spy tradecraft. Eye patches optional.
