Tickets still available to The Washington Ballet's Performance of The Nutcracker 


Interested in purchasing some last minute tickets to The Washington Ballet's The Nutcracker this weekend? You're in luck! Tickets are still available and can be purchased by contacting Megan Kelly at mkelly@gscnc.org. Please be sure to include your name and the number of tickets you wish to order in your email.   


All orders must be placed by noon on Friday, November 30th. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and quantities are limited.

Girl Scouts: Design an App for the
White House

A fun and educational challenge! Girls create an app that promotes civic education and/or inspires other girls to serve as leaders in our democracy for the White House "Equal Futures App Challenge."

Deadline January 12th, 2013 at 12:00am EDT

Individuals whose app will be hosted in an app store must submit the app to the store by January 12th, 2013 at 12:00am EDT. Individuals should submit screenshots or video of their working app as well as a link to the app itself. Please provide continuous access to the app, a detailed description, and system requirements.
Sesame Street Live - Can't Stop Singing

Who: Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies

Mia Saunders School of Ballet Presents

"The Nutcracker"

Come watch fellow girl scouts dance in the Nutcracker! Meet Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy after the show while earning the GSCNC Nutcracker patch.

Gingerbread House Workshop

Children celebrate the holidays by becoming history detectives as they tour the historic mansion in search of clues as to how holidays were celebrated in the past.  After the tour, children design and build their own edible gingerbread house to take home.

International Spy Museum
Exquisitely Evil Family Night

Who: Girl Scouts of All Ages

Your mission: Enjoy an evening of family BONDing! You are invited for a secret after-hours infiltration of the Museum's newest exhibition, Exquisitely Evil: 50 years of Bond Villains. Families are welcome to this exclusive viewing of the new exhibition complete with Code Cracker competitions, Bond Spy Trivia contests, SPY snacks, hot cocoa, and a chance to explore all forms of spy tradecraft. Eye patches optional.

Dine-Around Series  


Are you working toward your Gold Award? Have you already earned your Gold Award? If so, we'd love to have you join us for one of our 

Dine-Arounds this season.


What's a Dine-Around? Dine-Arounds are informal dinners, brunches, teas or other events that are hosted by Women's Advisory Board members at their homes or businesses.  They are a unique chance to gain insight from successful women and will prove to be an amazing networking session. Please note there is no cost to attend a Dine-Around.

GSCNC will host its annual SHARE Phone-athons in early December and we need your help! The end of the year is the busiest time for charitable giving and your participation will help us spread the message about SHARE, our Annual Giving Campaign. SHARE dollars support camperships, programming, financial assistance for low-income girls, leader training and more. The more calls we make, the more girls we can help in our council!

GSCNC-sponsored programs that have low enrollment may also be listed. If you have questions about any of the information, please communicate with the contact person listed at the end of each item.

If you are a troop leader or other volunteer and no longer wish to receive e-Edition from your Service Unit, please contact the person who forwards it to you directly
Please do not use the unsubscribe link below if you are not directly subscribed to e-Edition through council.  The unsubscribe link will delete the person who receives the initial send from council, not yourself.
