Shooting Beauty: Everyone Deserves a Shot Patch Program
When: Saturday, October 20, 2012, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Where: GSCNC Main Office 4301 Connecticut Ave NW, M-2 Washington, DC, 20008 The Girl Scouts have a patch program based on the film Shooting Beauty that incorporates activities from the MEdia Journey and the Including ALL Girls Patch Program. Girls will have a unique opportunity to challenge the typical definitions of beauty and embrace their differences by viewing the film and participating in on-site activities. This is a great program to work on during Disability Awareness Month.

Mickey and Minnie have searched the globe for the hippest and hottest acts to perform in the most sensational talent showcase to rock the ice, Disney On Ice presents Rockin' Ever After.
In a new twist on fairytale fun, favorite Disney characters compete to be the next superstar in comical segments leading up to the tales of show stopping princesses - Ariel, Rapunzel, Belle, and Merida from Disney * Pixar's BRAVE in her ice debut.

Are you working toward your Gold Award? Have you already earned your Gold Award? If so, we'd love to have you join us for one of our Dine-Arounds this season.
What's a Dine-Around? Dine-Arounds are informal dinners, brunches, teas or other events that are hosted by Women's Advisory Board members at their homes or businesses. They are a unique chance to gain insight from successful women and will prove to be an amazing networking session. Please note there is no cost to attend a Dine-Around.

Volunteer Leadership Committee
Who: Girl Scout Adults
GSCNC is looking for dedicated people to serve on the DC Step Showcase volunteer leadership committee. The DC Step Showcase - one of GSCNC's Signature Events - is an annual favorite and has grown since it began seven years ago.
Girl Scout step teams practice through the year, and then come together at the showcase to perform their original routines, during a day of fun, celebration and community.
Have you been to the showcase the past few years and now want to get involved, or are you new to step and want to learn more? Either way, we have a role for you!
