Seeds of Hope Foundation, Don Mills/Steeles, seeks Accounting Mentors for its Addiction for Youth project. Mentor 4 accounting students with their non-profit books, help create a bookkeeping system in Quick books and train students how to use it. Age 55+, prefer retired CA, able to use Quick books, Canadian/North American accounting experience preferred, can accept CPA/foreign experience. Junior/Senior Grant Writers to send out letters of intent, write grant proposals, evaluation plans, basic budget and work plans. Research and other support provided. Toronto Dollar Community Projects Inc. is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train and schedule volunteers to ensure a smooth running of the Toronto Dollar presence in the market. Position details as follows:
The tasks of the volunteer coordinator are to recruit, train and be in touch with approximately 20 volunteers. We are looking for someone who is available on Saturday mornings to spend time managing volunteers at the St. Lawrence Market, Jarvis and Front.

Change The World - 2012 Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge Opportunities

Malvern Family Resource Centre, Neilson/Sheppard, invites Earth Day Clean-up Volunteers to join the Malvern Youth Cabinet for a community Clean-Up on Wednesday, April 18th from 3:30-6:30 PM. They are looking to work in collaboration with other youth councils within the community by creating teams to sign-up for the clean-up. This event includes participation in the clean-up, a Sculpture Contest and light refreshments. This is a Change the World event and Certificate of Participation will be issued. Age 14-18. Change The World - 2012 Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge Opportunities

Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, at Yonge/Eglinton, needs Jump Rope for Heart Support Volunteers. Volunteers will be assisting their Jump Rope for Heart team with counting money and receipt writing. Start and continue during the time of Change the World – April 15 to May 6 and continue until Jump Rope program completion at end of June. Support a great cause and earn volunteer hours. CANFAR (Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research), at Adelaide/University has a need for Have A Heart Focus Group Volunteers to help launch an exciting/innovative national awareness program for CANFAR’s 20th anniversary next year. Student volunteers will be engaged in mini-focus groups - sharing details of the proposed new program and providing your opinions and thoughts so that they can work towards developing a fun and interactive campaign. It happens on Wednesday, April 18 at 12:00 Noon. They need 30-40 volunteers age 14-18. Some lifting required. TTC tokens, Pizza provided. We Will Now International Development Projects, seeks Event Promotion and Outreach Volunteers to outreach to diverse groups using social media and other tools of engagement. Volunteers will provide regular updates through We.Will.Now social media sources and actively work to increase We.Will.Now’s network of engaged young people. Outreach activities will also focus on The Art Gallery of Ontario/Weston Family Learning Centre’s hosting of “We.Will.Now’s 2012 Refocus Fashion Show” happening on May 9th which is entirely youth led and youth organized.
