"Give Kids the World"... the Designated Charity of Global Neuro & Spine Institute
We are dedicating this newsletter to Give Kids the World (GKTW), a nonprofit organization that exists only to fulfill the wishes of all children with life challenging illnesses; and to give these children and their families - from around the world - a memorable, joyful, cost-free visit to Central Florida's attractions, and to enjoy the magic of Give Kids The World Village, 70 acres of pure, magical JOY!

"For it is in giving  that we receive."
~ Francis of Assisi

                   OR ...

When you read those words, what comes to your mind? Or should we ask, WHO comes to your mind? Isn't it true that the most generous people you know who are sensitive to the needs of others are also the happiest and least stressed? And the opposite is also true: the selfish, penny pincher who jealously hoards and rarely, if ever, gives (without strings attached) is a miserable human being, has few friends and seldom seems happy.

A number of research studies have concluded that giving affects our brain chemistry. For example, people who give often report feelings of euphoria, which psychologists have referred to as the "Helper's High." They believe that charitable activity induces endorphins...and also lowers the stress hormones that cause unhappiness.

The bottom line from all the research on giving is that it is not just good for your favorite cause; it's good for you, too. For relief from stress and depression, it's probably more cost-effective than whatever your doctor might prescribe. For getting a little high, it's not illegal, and a lot less fattening than booze.
"Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go. We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love. Remember It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving." - Mother Theresa
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." - Winston Churchill

Fulfilling dreams...one precious life at a time!

The story of Give Kids The World begins with a little girl named Amy, a wish, and the desire of one man to make that wish come true.
Amy had leukemia and a wish to visit Orlando's theme parks. To facilitate this wish, a respected hotelier was asked to provide a complimentary stay for Amy and her family. Although the hotelier gladly obliged, the remainder of Amy's travel plans took too long to arrange, and her wish was never granted. Time simply ran out, and Amy had passed away.
This unfulfilled wish inspired the hotelier to make a vow that no child in need would ever be failed again. That man was Henri Landwirth, and his desire to ensure that Amy's story would never repeat itself is a mission Give Kids The World has fulfilled since 1986.
GKTW makes Princess Chloe's dream come true!

Complete with a beautiful gown, sparkly slippers and a flowery crown, Chloe's wish of becoming a princess came true at GKTW. Her regal experience included meeting fellow Vil lage Princesses, dancing in her royal dress and making dozens of magical memories.
"I can't say enough how incredible this wish trip was for Chloe. For one week, she di dn't have any care in the world, except for being a 3-year-old in the most magical place on earth. Chloe actually told us that she wants to live at the Village forever." - Chloe's mother, Jamie
