Next Week: Facebook Photo Contest

Get ready - Jump-start Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills. Participate in the Facebook contest! The contest will take place over 24 hours, beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11. The top three photo entries generating the most "likes" will receive a cash prize courtesy of Ion Bank Foundation.

A photo that is quirky, funny, interesting, or inspiring will generate more engagement and visibility for the upcoming Give Local event. Highlight the good work you do! Include include #GiveLocalGWLH on your entry.
WATR Live Broadcast

WATR will broadcast live at Ion Bank, 87 Church Street, Naugatuck on April 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring participating nonprofits in Give Local. If you are interested in being interviewed during the broadcast about how the event will make a difference in the work you do, please email Carol Buckheit , the Foundation's director of communications. A limited number of slots are available. Preference will be given to organizations who were not featured in prior years.

FAQ: Which link to include on communications?

Visit www.GiveLocalCCF.org and search for your organization's profile. When you find yours, copy the URL and add it in your communications. (For example, Acts 4 Ministry is https://givelocalccf.org/npo/acts-4-ministry ). When we begin to accept donations, your profile page will contain a donation form to accept gifts directly to your organization.

  • Prepare and schedule your image for the Facebook Photo Contest!

  • To create excitement, let people know about any matching funds you have secured and any prizes you plan to compete for. When communicating about prizes, please include the prize name and sponsor whenever possible.

  • Register for the webinar on April 11. This will provide an overview on what to expect on April 20-25. Topics covered will include Advance Giving mode, accessing donor data, reminders about prizes and leaderboards, and troubleshooting.
