November Night HIke
4 p.m. Friday Nov. 24 at Sodalis Nature Preserve. Meet at trailhead, hike up to the bat caves, exploring nature signs along the way. Pause for a story at the top then return in the dark with sensory awareness activities. Hike will be on paved paths, about 2 miles. Free but reservations must be made by calling Hannibal Parks & Recreation at 221-0154 or emailing [email protected]
Donuts with Santa!
8-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 at Douglass Community Services. Tickets available by calling 221-3892 or at Douglass Community Services, 711 Grand Ave.
CASA Pickleball Tournament
Dec. 2 in the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center, $50 per team.
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers speak up for the interests of our most vulnerable children. Proceeds from the pickleball tournament help fund the program. Contact Sarah Conner, 221-3890 with questions or sign up online.
Are you getting ready to light it up for the holidays? Join our Holiday House decorating contest! Just send in a photo of your house or business, we will let everyone know the address so they can enjoy the fruits of your labor! Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. Dec. 14, judging will be Dec. 15. The contest is open to Hannibal residents. Email submissions to [email protected]

Snowball Toss, 3-5 p.m. Saturday Dec. 9 at the Y Men’s Pavilion, 105 Hill St. Toss Styrofoam “snowballs” into the wreath and win a prize.
 
Music, Marshmallows and Mistletoe 5-6 p.m. Saturday Dec. 9 at the Y Men’s Pavilion, 105 Hill St. The Pirate Pride Singers, a group of fifth and sixth-graders from Eugene Field School, will sing holiday music.

Christmas Parade
6 p.m. Dec. 2 in downtown Hannibal, sponsored by Hannibal Jaycees. Bring a toy for Toys for Tots and the elves will give it to Santa.
Ho Ho Hike
Starting at 1 p.m. Dec. 10 at Trailhead of Sodalis Nature Preserve
Led by nature educator Gale Rublee
Play games, hear stories, hike up to the top of Sodalis Nature Preserve Trail to see Santa Claus.
Photos available for donation to Toys for Tots. Santa Claus will be there until 4 p.m.

  • Mark Twain's annual Birthday Bash: Nov. 25 at Mark Twain Museum. More information and list of events here!
  • Journey to Bethlehem Doors open at 4 p.m., tours start at 5 p.m. two weekends this year, Dec. 1-2, 8-9. Interactive walking tour that take guests on Bear Creek Trail to see Bethlehem at the time of Jesus' birth. Tours start at the Orpheum Theater at Fifth and Broadway. Guests will enjoy an indoor production while waiting for their turn to board the Trolleys and be taken to the trail. Questions? Call 573-719-3216
  • Snowman Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at Hannibal Free Public Library, snowman crafts and games; 10:30 a.m. Read and Glue, 3 p.m. Babies and Books
  • Drive 4 UR Community 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tom Boland Ford. Take a simple test-drive in a new Ford vehicle and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to Toys for Tots of Northeast Missouri. Bring in a new toy to donate to needy families in the area this Christmas and Tom Boland Ford will give you $10 towards your next service visit.

Play Without Boundaries Sensory Room Games, puzzles and Imagination Playground blocks for all-inclusive indoor play for adults and children at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center

Senior Adult Dances Noon to 3 p.m. Wednesdays at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center. Music provided by Uptown Strings.

Huckleberry Park Born Learning Trail is an interactive series of 10 outdoor games around Huckleberry Park playground. There are several new pieces of all-inclusive playground equipment, including two handicap-accessible swings and musical instruments at Huckleberry Park playground.
