China Program Update:
Since our last newsletter, two
families in the program have received Letter Seeking Confirmations (LSC) and four families have received Travel Approvals (TA) and are planning their trips!
Gongzhan hosted seven families for a travel call last week - everyone is excited about getting closer to meeting their children!
As of January 1, 2018, CCCWA has officially ended the partnership/"one-to-one" program between agencies and orphanages. Currently we are in a transition period as many files were being processed before the end of 2017, so partnership children are still being advocated for and matched with families! However, we are also looking forward and concentrating on utilizing the "shared list" database as much as possible as a means for matching children to families. In theory, children on the shared list have maximum visibility to agencies, however in reality, they often get "lost" in the shuffle. It is our mission at Gladney to shine a light on children who wait and we will not waver in this dedication. Now, more than ever, families must consider their ability to love and care for children with more complicated needs - the children are ready and waiting... who will be there for them?
