This week's prayer visualization

Over the last several months we have seen a rash of outburst shootings in the US and around the world. Typically these shootings are family-oriented and seem to stem from a growing number of untenable situations in the lives of individuals who do not respond well to the pressure of today's world. While not exactly typical, the recent shootings in Oslo, Norway, still follows the pattern of an extreme lashing out because of inner psychological stress and alienation. The origin of these violent outbursts seems to be the inability of some individuals to cope with a still difficult economy (which drives families apart), the lack of community support in an increasingly technical and detached social climate, and a world society that is changing so quickly, a non-spiritual approach to life is increasingly ineffective.   

As with most problems, the solution to this problem must include a new level of spiritual consciousness, and a deeper communication with each other. We need a new wave of community helping and spiritual inspiration where more people under stress can be reached more quickly. Join us this week as we seek to uplift these new spiritual trends in a world that is still sliding into further economic and social alienation.
