Boston Globe Honors 2017 Para Sport All Scholastic Team
CONGRATULATIONS to the 2017 Para Sport All Scholastic team.  Mikayla Chandler (Track & Field, Old Rochester HS), Callin Currie (Swimming, Essex Tech), Matt Freitas (Lacrosse, Catholic Memorial), Chris Kimball (Track & Field, Littleton HS), and Elise Morley (Swimming, Norton HS) have been named to the Boston Globe 2017 Para Sport All Scholastic team.

The Bay State Games Track & Field Finals will be held July 15 at Fitchburg State University this Saturday, July 15 beginning at 10am.

Wheelchair Basketball Jamboree
Wow!  Three Boston Boys and Girls Clubs  wrapped up a super fun wheelchair basketball season with a jamboree on Friday, June 9.   A total of 28 athletes representing three Boys and Girls Clubs (South Boston, Charlestown and Dorchester) participated.  Special shout out to super star Theo Batty who will be taking his talents to sunny California.  Many thanks to the Boys and Girls Club and best wishes to Theo and his family.
Runners and Racers
Paralympic Sport Club Boston Track Training
PSC Boston will host the final two wheelchair track training session of the season on upcoming Saturday mornings.  Wheelchair racers of all skill levels are welcome to join us, though PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  Runners are welcome to join us at the track for your own workout.
     Date: Saturdays, July 15 & July 29

Achilles Boston Social
Runners with visual or mobility impairments are invited (and encouraged) to join Achilles Boston at the Adidas Boston Marathon RunBase this Wednesday, July 19 from 5:00-7:00 PM for food, drinks, prizes and discounted shopping (someone might want to go for a run as well).  Get more info and spread the word on the Achilles Boston Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/AchillesInternationalBoston/.
No running required; come to meet a great group of runners with and without impairments.

4th Annual Martin Richard Memorial 1 Mile  

Join Adaptive Sports New England, Youth Enrichment Services (YES) and the Martin Richard Charitable Foundation and the largest Para track contingent at any track meet in New England. Blind/VI runners, Para-ambulatory runners and wheelchair racers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Choose from the 400m Adaptive category run, the 1 mile age-group races (inclusive), the 1 mile wheelchair heat and/or the non-competitive, untimed 1-mile walk/jog/roll. This is a fun community event that also includes some VERY fast runners, so it really is for everyone.  Help support community sports in Boston and Martin Richard's message of Peace.
