Going Gets Tough....... 9/9/15

Sad News:
Mr. Mark Kitchens passed away Sunday morning. He is the son of Ellis and Ann Kitchens and the third of 4 children to pass.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
The arrangements for Mark's funeral have been made. The funeral will be held at 11:00 on Friday. Visitation will be from 6-8 on Thursday. Services will be held at Cannon Cleveland funeral home.
John 6:60 (KJV)
60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
Of course, these VERY words were enacted in John 666:

66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Too often, IN THIS WORLD, man and mankind attempt to display our Lord and Savior as "a Man of peace!"
He is depicted as a wimp, sashaying through adoring crowds, and NOT as a REAL man, toughened and strengthened by years of hard labor as a carpenter.
The exact opposite is, in fact, TRUE of this Man of Steel!!
Luke 4:28-30 (KJV)
28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.
30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way,
I well remember preaching this FACT several years ago.

MY TAKE, (sorry Ronnie J.) on this TRUE Story is, and was that Jesus did not thwart the angry mob supernaturally!!!
He simply "ROSE UP/STOOD UP" PHYSICALLY and DARED anybody to "come and get him!!!!!!"
NOBODY cared to tangle with Jesus the MAN!!!!!
I believe MOST of you will agree with me that THIS life is not EASY!!??
Oftentimes, TOO OFTEN, we do, indeed, GET WEARY!!!!
Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
WE work hard, PRAY hard, hoping and believing ALL our efforts be rewarding and fruitful.
BUT life can and does too often throw us curves unexpectedly.
Even the mighty Oracle of God, John the Baptist, had his Time and TIMES "of doubt and shame."
While he, himself, LANGUISHED in a miserable prison, fearing his eminent death, he sent his disciples to inquire of the Master:

Misery and seemingly defeat wearies able bodies:

12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
YES, it is OK for YOU to accept the first part of that Holy Script:
HOPE DEFERRED doth indeed MAKE THE HEART SICK!!!!
BUT OUR BIBLE CONTINUES:
"
but WHEN the desire cometh, it is a tree of life!"
Psalm 126:1-6 (KJV)

The KEY is doing the exact opposite of John 666:

69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
Beloved, in spite of the trial and tribulation of THIS LIFE, where are you and I to go, BUT TO THE LORD JESUS!!??
As the cheerleaders sang out, "IF HE CAN'T DO IT, NOBODY CAN!!!"
TODAY, grab YOURSELF by the back of the neck and throw yourself down at Jesus' Feet!!!!
