Tonight's Tap It Tuesday at 6 pm is Gold Yeller. This NW style sour ale is one of our lightest offerings. Subtle aromas of honey and light bright lemon greet you in the nose. Soft malt and a lemony tartness on the palate give way to multiple layers of sour and oak that dance around the finish of this beer. 7.1% ABV / $6 glass.

 In the next few months we will be bottling The Vine 2011 (draft should be available before the bottles, likely in about 30 days give or take), Blueberry & Sang Noir. There will be more bottle announcements to come, stay tuned!

The House of Sour will host Scottish Beer Week starting next Monday, Jan. 23. We'll be serving up  our Scottish beers Mc Shagger Strong Scotch, Lil' Bo Peat Peated Pale, Black Sheep Stout and a Scottish IPA. Next week's Tap It Tuesday will be Soured Mc Shagger, a 12+ month old barrel aged Strong Scotch; look for full descriptions in next week's e-blast.

This week's food specials at the Barrel House include our popular Chicken Royal Petit Sandwich with smoked chicken, pungent Italian Taleggio cheese & red onion, served on grilled purple Sang Royal bread dressed with tomato chutney & spiced blood berry fruit compote ($4.5); a Reuben Panini featuring handcrafted corned beef and barrel brined cabbage, 1000 island dressing and Gruyere cheese on black rye, panini grilled until crisp ($8); and a Fig Pesto Chevre Panini with saut´┐Żed mission figs, housemade smoked tomato pesto spread and chevre goat cheese in a brioche bun, panini grilled until crisp ($5). Enhance your beer experience by combining white & dark chocolate nibs with our Northwest style sour beers - only $1.
February will bring the Cascade Tart Fruit Extravaganza. Details are still being filtered, more to come.
