UPDATES
Tom Kresnak '60
Tom was inducted into the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame on June 7, 2014. Tom was a 1959 All-State Tackle at MCC and went on to a standout career at the University of Colorado. A dominating offensive guard, he was a team captain in 1963 and voted the team's MVP in 1964 - a rare honor for an offensive lineman.
Jeff Helminski '92
Jeff is a Managing Director at Blackford Capital, a private equity firm in Grand Rapids, where his primary focus is acquiring and growing Michigan-based manufacturing and service businesses. His company was recently recognized with the Deal of the Year award from MiBiz Magazine for the acquisition of Custom Profile in Grand Rapids and with a 40 Under 40 award from the Grand Rapids Business Journal. Jeff and his wife Tammy (an environmental attorney with Barnes & Thornburg in Grand Rapids live in East Grand Rapids with their two sons Dominic (4) and Ryan (2).
Annalisa Schaub '98 
Annalisa graduated from Michigan State with a degree in Human Resources and worked as a loan officer for Citibank. She eventually transferred to Northern California to drive sales regionally. While working towards an MBA from UC Davis she worked in sales at Apple's Call Center. After graduating, Annalisa joined Apple Corporate in Cupertino as a Product Manager for AppleCare where she helped launch products in Europe and Asia and did a lot of other cool things she can't talk about. Now, she manages a team of project managers and has employees all over the world including Singapore and Ireland. After 10 years, Annalisa has fallen in love with Northern CA (no snow!) and decided to plant her roots by purchasing a home in San Jose where she lives with her boyfriend Adam who also works at Apple.
Elizabeth Hansen '07
Elizabeth will receive her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Western Michigan University on June 26, 2014.
Paul Plucinsky '07
Currently a Doctoral student at Cal Tech (California Institute of Technology) working toward a Ph.D. in Solid Mechanics. NASA Research Center recently awarded Paul one of their highly selective research fellowships.
Laura Farrell '09
Laura is MCC's new Head Varsity Volleyball coach. Laura is a 2014 Aquinas College graduate where she studied Communications and English. Laura is a frequent mission triop goer around the world and is currently the Hospitality and Volunteer Coordinator at the Mercy Health St. Mary's Foundation. |
 HAPPY RETIREMENTKathy (Kandalec) Maus '66 I attended Sacred Heart School and MCC. My husband, Steve, and I have 2 children, Andy '95 (Kate) Maus and Dana '98 (Bill '98) Martin and 3 grandchildren Lilly, Will and Alyson. I started working as a Teacher's Aide at Sacred Heart School in 1986 and continued to work at St. Michael's, St. Francis and MCCE. Over the years, I had the privilege of working with some of the best, most caring and hardest working teachers. I've worked with so many terrific students, helping them, watching them grow, sharing their failures and successes. I've met so many loving, dedicated parents who have helped make our school such a success! I am retiring after all these years knowing I will miss the staff, parents and most of all the students who have so touched my heart! My husband and I are planning on spending more time with our grandchildren. I am really looking forward to not having to turn off that alarm anymore. Everyday is going to be a Saturday! |
