Crusade for MCC Annual Fund 

The Crusade for MCC funds the yearly operational and strategic plan needs of Muskegon Catholic Central.  These funds directly and immediately benefit the faculty, staff, students and families.  This year's goal is $891,000.

The Millennium Club

Joni (Petroski) Jarosik '76

Joni celebrated her 40th work anniversary with Raymond James.  Joni started with Roney & Co (became Raymond James in 1999) in August 1974, the summer before her senior year, through the Co-op Program.  She has been fortunate to grow with the company, to current position of Operations Manager.

The Raymond James work family includes MCC alumni Mike Nowak '75, Al Kowalski '80, Dana (Stratton) Bergeman & Sarah (Stojak) McCarthy '88, along with MCC Board of Trustee Member, Paul Price.

Joni has three children, Katie and twins Matt & Mitch.

Joni enjoys gardening, shopping & MCC football.  She has proudly supported them at the Silver Dome/Ford Field - only missing 1981 & 1986, those being the years her children were born, and it just so happens the years they came in "runner-ups" - so she consider herself their good luck charm! 

Randy Estepp '83

Randy was a member of the Crusader football team, an all-state defensive tackle playing in 3 state championships with victories in 1980 and 1982.  After battling brain cancer, tumors and having several surgeries, Randy now uses a wheelchair and lives at Sanctuary at the Shore in Grand Haven.

This fall, Varsity Football Head Coach, Steve Czerwon '95, received a letter from Randy's sister Christine Dingman telling Randy's story and his love for Crusader football.  Inspired, Steve and the the four team captains went to visit Randy.

With the cooperation of the staff at Sanctuary at the Shore and Bobby Morse '83, Randy was able to cheer on his beloved Crusaders from the end zone for the first time in years.  For more on this visit and Randy's story, click here.

Shannon M. Mullally, Ph.D. '96

Shannon earned her doctorate in Creative Writing from the University of Denver, her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her BS from Michigan State University. Her co-authored, award-winning book, Love Block, was published in 2005 by 3-Day Books. She is currently an editor for School Zone Publishing�, a company in Grand Haven, MI, which publishes educational materials for children.
 

Shannon is proud to announce that School Zone's Little Scholar^TM tablet has been nominated by the Toy Industry Association for the prestigious 2015 Educational Toy of the Year award.  Shannon put her writing talents to good use in the marketing of the tablet and editing aspects of its content.
 

When people ask me what motivates her in life, she tell them, "faith." Faith propels her forward. A faith-based education gives me the strength to take on what seems impossible at the time, because, after all, having faith is believing in something greater than yourself. Shannon was so very fortunate to have attended MCC because the teachers, staff, administrators and students gave her a lifelong gift: the knowledge that God is always with us, directing our course. In fact, think about this: When she was a student at MCC, she spent time she know then, that many years later, she would become a part of that very same company. How's that for full circle!"

Marty Klemp

Marty is a familiar face to many of us around MCC!  Marty's mom, Rose (Zoromski) Klemp '64 and siblings, Dave Klemp '86, Dan Klemp '88 and Maria (Klemp) Poort '89 are all graduates of MCC.  Marty would have followed suit, however, God had a different plan.  He went to Wesley School and graduated in 2000.

Marty's love and pride for MCC began when he started attending sporting events to watch Dave play football and run track, watch Dan play football and Maria cheer.  After graduating, Maria continued to take Marty to basketball, baseball and football games.  In 1987, Coach Mike Holmes presented Marty as MCC's #1 fan and gave him a jersey, helmet and team autographed football.  Marty is still known by this title.

Marty admires Coach Mike Ribecky '73 and when he sees the coaching staff, he'll ask "How is the team doing?  Are we going to win tonight?"  Marty continues to cheer on his favorite school and watched the football team win Back-to-Back State Championships.

Marty's niece Alani Poort '26 is the third generation to attend MCC.
