Birds, Bikes and a Skatepark

2 Birds 1 Statue
Last week was busy! The Golden Bike Library opened for the second season (check out a bike for a free two-hour ride if you haven't tried it already!), a 15 ft. hummingbird statue was installed at the Ulysses St. roundabout near King Soopers (pictured here, already making friends), and the Ulysses Skate Park, long in the making and much anticipated, was finally opened.

The week ahead holds the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, and a CSM Spring Music Concert and fundraiser, among other things, so keep reading,  and as always, we wish you a happy, safe week!

Construction of the water quality pond near the hang gliding landing field continues, weather permitting. Park only in designated areas if you are accessing the landing field or Chimney Gulch Trail.

Irrigation and lighting work continues on the lid, as well as lighting under the bridge.

Upcoming Events
Colorado Denim Day

CO Denim Day 2017
On Colorado Denim Day, April 26, 2017, state agencies, businesses, and other groups in Colorado are asked to allow their employees to pay $5 in exchange for wearing jeans on Denim Day. All funds donated will go to support the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA), which works to ensure that Colorado communities believe and support survivors, hold perpetrators accountable, and take action to end sexual violence.

Employees wearing jeans will receive stickers that they can wear to let everyone know why they are wearing jeans on Denim Day. Wearing jeans is a conversation-starter and visual sign of your support of survivors. Colorado Denim Day demonstrates the power of communities coming together to support survivors and take a stand against sexual violence.
