Showcase for Commerce Golf Outing

Ninety-three golfers teed off yesterday morning at the 21st annual BAE Systems/Showcase for Commerce golf outing. A reception was held following the outing where prizes were awarded to top golfers and teams.

 

We'd like to thank BAE Systems for their sponsorship of the outing and the staff of Sunnnehanna Country Club for their support in ensuring the success of the event.

 


   

John P. Murtha Breakfast

The John P. Murtha Breakfast, named in memoriam of the Honorable John P. Murtha, a 36-year veteran of the United States House of Representatives, will be held on Friday, May 29 at 7:30AM at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Center.
 

This early morning event offers attendees a firsthand look at the inner workings of the U.S. defense industry. Join us in welcoming Senator Robert P. Casey's special guest speaker Senator Tim Kaine.

Identifying and Responding to State Government Contract Opportunities

The Department of General Services, Complex Procurement Consultants and the Bureau of Small Business Opportunities are conducting a free workshop for companies interested in learning more about how to respond to an RFP as a prime contractor or participate as a Small Diverse Business (SDB) subcontractor.  The JARI PTAC workshop is sponsored by Wessel & Company. Participants will learn how to review and write an effective response to an RFP. Topics include:

  • Upcoming Procurements
  • Pre-RFP Research
  • Understanding and Reviewing the Proposal
  • Writing an Effective Proposal
  • Evaluation Process
  • How to be a More Effective SDB Subcontractor
  • Award Process

Pre-registration is required for this workshop which is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9th, 8:30am - noon in the Napa Room at the Holiday Inn Downtown, Johnstown, PA.  Seating is limited!
The deadline to register is June 5, 2015.
