1. San Antonio awarded state
funding to enhance Friedrich Park. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission awarded a
$112,600 grant to the City of San Antonio. The grant will be used
to further develop the 596-acre Friedrich Park located in Northwest
San Antonio. Improvements to be funded include an entry kiosk,
walkways, benches, interpretive signs and landscaping. Read

2. NRP Group of Cleveland
developing senior apartment complex in Alamo
City. A new senior
multifamily community will be built in San Antonio called the
Mirabella Apartments. Located on 8.7 acres of land, the apartments
will include 112 one-bedroom units and 60 two-bedroom units across
four buildings. The buildings will include elevators and offer both

3. Garner State
Park to gain additional acreage. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission approved a
plan on Thursday to purchase a 113.5-acre tract of ranch land to
extend the size of Garner State Park.
