MARIN CLEAN ENERGY RATE COMPARISON
Amazing Value for a Small Premium
MCE is now able to help customers compare rates since PG&E has filed its electricity generation rate schedule with the California Public Utilities Commission. It's estimated that the cost differential between MCE's mix of 50% renewable energy and PG&E's 20% renewables is only about $2.50 a month for the average household!
That means starting in July 2012, for $2.50 a month more, MCE will procure two and half times as much green energy for you as PG&E. Quite a bargain for our carbon-busting green power mix! This pricing includes the exit fee imposed on our customers by PG&E. We are developing a calculator for our website that will show the billing comparisons; we'll let you know when it is posted. Meanwhile, if you're curious about what your PG&E bill will look like with MCE, you can view a sample bill here.
One more note on cost: in the next few months MCE customers will receive a credit on their PG&E bill as a result of a CPUC ruling that retroactively reduces fees that PG&E is allowed to charge our customers.
So, we here at Marin Clean Energy are delighted to be delivering good news as well as great green power to our Marin community.
