Ignacio School District Removed From Turnaround List! Congratulations to the school-based team and GSN Coaching staff!
This small district of 790 students focused their efforts on key actions steps and was recently notified by CDE that they have dropped off the state's watch list for chronic low academic performance. GSN is immensely proud to celebrate this work as Kate Lister, Sr. Director of School Support and Implementation, helped in both elementary school redesign and literacy coaching and as the coach for the Turnaround Leader Program. The redesign work featured two on-site retreats with staff and re-allocated time, talent, and resources. The Turnaround Leadership Program provided guidance for the school's principal and the leadership team to focus the efforts of turning the school around. GSN offers sincere congratulations to the Ignacio staff and looks forward to continuing our work together.

GSN Continues to Support Schools in Diagnostic Review and Unified Improvement Planning Process
The Colorado Department of Education has released several grant opportunities for schools and districts on Priority Improvement and Turnaround.
GSN is currently supporting multiple schools through the Diagnostic Review and Improvement Planning and Turnaround Leadership grant preparation process. These grants provide resources for schools to pay for support with State or Federal school improvement funds. Participants who have partnered with GSN in this work have been highly satisfied. Feedback on GSN's support has included praise like: "If you're looking for someone who cares about your school as much as you do, someone who wants to see you succeed and offers ways to do that, but they don't TELL you what to do, choose GSN. They are positive, they know their stuff and they can make a difference. They have for us!"
