Event Raised Funds to Support the Goodwill Mission

Goodwill hosted the first Working for Independence fundraising breakfast on November 6, 2014. Over 220 people were in attendance at the breakfast that highlighted the impact that Goodwill, together with its donors, is having on our community.  Click here to find the total raised and for photos from the event.


Goodwill Recognized as One of America's Most Inspiring Companies by Forbes
Goodwill is Ranked at #11 and is the Only Non-profit On List

Forbes recently released its annual list of America's Most Inspiring Companies, and for the third year in a row, it included Goodwill. Coming in at #11 in 2014, Goodwill is the only nonprofit to make the prestigious list. Last year, Goodwill ranked #19.  Click here to continue reading.


Goodwill Prisoner Re-Entry Program

Goodwill's Prisoner Re-Entry program was featured in the Valley Business FRONT's December issue. Written by Anne Sampson the article focuses on the success of both Arthur McDonald and Angela Cardwell, who are both now Goodwill employees.  Read the article in the Culture Front section on page 39 of the December issue.


Plans for the 2015 Growing Goodwill Garden Underway 
Registration Now Open for Interested Gardeners

The Growing Goodwill Garden is a partnership between Goodwill and the Roanoke Community Garden Association (RCGA).  Located at the intersection of 24th Street and Salem Turnpike in Roanoke, the garden is being redesigned in 2015 to provide easier access and additional space. These improvements will be complete by March 1st, when gardeners can begin planting.
