From the Head of School
It was wonderful to see everyone at the Back-to-School picnic Friday evening! Thank you for joining us, and thank you for sharing so many wonderful dishes and goodies!
We are looking forward to Back-to-School night tonight and tomorrow. This is a great way for you to learn more about curriculum and activities,
see your child's classroom, get to know your teachers, hear more about routines, and learn about volunteer opportunities. We look forward to seeing you there!

GFS parents: If you'll be attending the Harvest Fair, we'd love for you to volunteer, too! Be on the lookout for a Signup Genius.
Box Tops! Our first
Box Tops 4 Education collection of the year is approaching. Please continue to collect Box Tops (ask friends and grandparents to collect, too) and submit them on or before Friday, October 20. There are two ways to turn in your Box Tops:
- Put them in a sealable bag or envelope and send them in via your child's backpack, labeled 'For Jennifer Salvo, Room C.'
- Place them in the collection envelope located in the Extended Care Room.
Upcoming meeting: The next monthly meeting of the GPC will be Friday, September 29, at 9 a.m. in the Meetinghouse. Free Extended Care will be provided. To register for free Extended Care, please fill out the online form by Tuesday, September 26 by clicking here. When filling out the form, please note that you are requesting care for the GPC meeting. Thank you!

Extended Care
Extended Care is accepting reservations for the 2017-18 school year. Read more about this fun program on our website!
Tr. Patrice and Tr. Carolyn would love to have your little ones join them for Lunch Bunch and Extended Care. The program is available to all Goshen students Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until at least 4 p.m.
Please note that families who would like their children to stay for Lunch Bunch must reserve care for the time period from 12 noon - 1:30 p.m.

In Other News
It's school picture time! We are excited to have Mary Parnell and Picklepuss Photography back again to photograph Goshen students. The schedule is:
- September 25: Tr. Cheryl's 3-day (M/W/F) class and Tr. Delee's 5-day class
- September 26: Tr. Kim's 2-day (Tu/Th) class, Tr. Cheryl's 2-day (Tu/Th) class, and Tr. Joyce's class
- September 27: Tr. Kim's 3-day (M/W/F) class and By My Side Wednesday class
- September 28: By My Side Thursday class
Picture order forms will come home via backpack this week. By My Side families will receive their order forms during class this week. Please be sure to return your completed forms and payment to your classroom teacher in time for your child's picture day. Thank you!
The annual hayride will be held on Sunday, October 1. This fun event is a
wonderful opportunity for GFS families to get together outside of school and enjoy the beautiful fall landscape. Activities include a scenic hayride, campfire, hot dog roast, s'mores, and much more! The hayride will be held at Wynnorr Farm from 4 - 5:30 p.m. Get more information on our website, and look for a flyer in your child's backpack!
Save the Date: Our
Harvest Fair & Open House is scheduled for Saturday, October 14, from noon to 3 p.m.
Enjoy fun activities for kids of all ages - music, magic, face-painting, pony rides and much more! Food and beverages will also be provided.
The event is free and open to the community - tell a friend! Non-Goshen families may preregister for the event (recommended but not required) by clicking here.
