Gospel Center Rescue Mission
Appoints Wayne G. Richardson, CEO

The Gospel Center Rescue Mission (GCRM) has announced the appointment of Wayne G. Richardson, CEO of the 75-year-old mission. Wayne brings an impressive and extensive background in leadership positions to the GCRM, including his most recent titles of COO and Director of Development & Programs of Faith Farm Ministries, a three campus, 450 bed, nine-month, free residential addiction regeneration program in Florida.

GCRM has a wide variety of assistance programs, including The New Life Program (NLP), Recuperative Care Service, Emergency Lodging, New Hope Family Shelter, Gleason House Medical Clinic , and more. Each program at the GCRM is designed to provide "emotional and spiritual restoration through the love of Jesus Christ", and Wayne will champion the implementation of the Center's renowned programs. The New Life Program is a six-month residential program that focuses on men and women as a whole person, including spiritual aspects, family, community and environment that will affect a long-term lifestyle change. The new Recuperative Care Building is a medical care facility that provides 24-hour shelter beds for people who are too well to be in the hospital, but too sick to recuperate on the streets.

As Board member for South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and a pro-bono consultant for Samaritan's Feet (supplies shoes to children in the US and around the world), Wayne brings strong local and international fundraising and outreach expertise to Stockton. Wayne's outreach work also includes Advisory Board membership to the World Harvest Project (missionary and humanitarian work in South America and Africa) and Help One Love One (supporting Cystic Fibrosis clients). He is also a national seminar speaker with a focus on non-profit Board and senior leadership fundraising training.

Wayne served in leadership positions at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Christian Broadcasting Network's Operation Blessing International, the United States Military Academy's West Point Association of Graduates, and Southeastern University. Additionally, he served in leadership for Mountainside Management, a family-owned management business in the Hudson Valley of New York State.

Service to his country comprises a 23-year Army active and Reserve career, which includes six years of command and leading multiple Army Engineer unit deployments to Korea and Panama.

He is a graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Wayne is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and a licensed minister from the Fellowship of Ministers International.

Wayne and his wife Carol have relocated to Stockton. They have three adult children - Chris, Colin and Megan.
