NEWS and EVENTS From the Philadelphia Education Fund
  • Announcement: The Philadelphia Ed Fund opens the  Donald McKinney Center for STEM education . Check our website soon for more information. 
  • STEM Teacher Forum . Apr 17 The workshop topics will be Manufacturing for Kids (K-4), Coding and STEM Solutions (6-12), and Wissahickon Rock Chemistry (8-12).  Act  48 Credits available.
  • Last STEM Teacher Forum of the year ! May 15 . The event will be a showcase of the most popular workshops from the previous year.
  • STEM Networking Meeting. Apr 28.   T he topic will be "Computer Science Education." This free event is designed for informal educators but is open to anyone. It will feature breakfast, a panel presentation, PA Keys credits, and professional networking. The presenters will be from BSD Code and Design Academy, IBM, and Drexel University.
  • Last STEM Networking Meeting of the year! May 9. Hot Topics in STEM Education.  
  • SAVE THE DATE : June 10.  The First Donald McKinney STEM Conference that brings educators together with the city's STEM stakeholders. Get ready to roll-up-your-sleeves, learn about the STEM Ecosystem, and develop community-based STEM activities. Contact Bonnie Hallam or Edyta Zielinska with questions.
