Dear Gould Students and Families,

I hope you all are doing well, staying safe, and enjoying the waning days of summer. We look forward to greeting you on campus in just a few short weeks!

Although we had hoped this year would mark a complete return to β€œnormal,” we acknowledge that the COVID pandemic is still going to influence the ways we interact on and off campus.

Attached you will find Gould’s COVID policy for the 2021-2022 school year. Members of the COVID response team have worked hard to develop a policy that incorporates the latest guidance from the Maine CDC and ensures the physical and mental health of our community. We recognize that the science guiding these policies is changing rapidly, and we may have to adapt our approach when recommendations change. When changes do occur, we are committed to communicating these changes quickly and clearly.

Gould is strongly recommending all members of the community get vaccinated as soon as possible to ensure they are protected from COVID. If you arrive on campus fully vaccinated, please refer to the Guidelines for Vaccinated Individuals. If you arrive on campus partially vaccinated or unvaccinated, please refer to the Guidelines for Unvaccinated Individuals.

Tomorrow morning at 8:00 am EST there will be a virtual β€œCoffee Chat,” where members of the faculty will be available to discuss these policies and answer questions. All family members are welcome to attend! You can register for the Coffee Chat <here>.

Sincerely,
β€Œ
