A growing number of for-profit firms are jostling to sign you up for their services - services that your business might not need or want. Their sophisticated marketing campaigns target small businesses with official sounding emails and texts directing you to sign-up for services - for a hefty fee, of course. PTACs regularly hear from business owners who, thinking they are responding to a government official, mistakenly commit to a sales contract they were not seeking.
Remember: There is NEVER a fee to register as a government contractor, and there is free and low-cost help available to get you through the process - your local PTAC.

Small Business Advantage Grant
|
The
PA Department of Environmental Protection has announced that the
Small Business Advantage Grant is open for applications. The grant provides 50% matching grants, up to a maximum of $9,500 ($7,000 for lighting-only upgrades), to enable PA small businesses to purchase energy-efficient, pollution-prevention equipment or adopt waste reduction processes. PA-based businesses with less than 100 employees are eligible and grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

 NEPA Alliance will be hosting its Annual Dinner on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center, Scranton, PA.
This year's Keynote speaker will be
Denny Corby, Corporate Speaker, Entertainer & Mentalist. He performs regularly for a variety of corporate clients.
Last year our Annual Dinner was attended by over 350 business and community leaders from around the region reaching a milestone in attendance. This year's event is sure to be another great networking opportunity.
