Governor Wolf Signs Revenue Legislation to Balance FY 17/18 Budget
After months of a budget stalemate, the Fiscal Year 2017-18 budget is complete. Yesterday, Governor Wolf announced he had signed numerous budget related bills to generate the revenue necessary to balance the 2017-18 budget. This included legislation to provide for expanded gambling in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Fiscal Code legislation which grants the Governor significant borrowing authority to manage the FY 2016-17 budget shortfall, and a Tax Code bill which establishes some new recurring revenue streams from targeted tax revenue sources.

For PAR members, and all parties interested in ID/A services and supports, this means that this year's historic ID/A budget, which includes the first rate increase in 10 years, is in place and will be executed in the current fiscal year as enacted.

With Governor Wolf's actions yesterday, the FY 2017-18 state budget is completed.
