This Sunday we hear the story of the call of the fishermen to follow Jesus. We are continually called to follow God to amazing places of peace and justice, of love and beauty. God wants us to recognize the divine presence in our lives so that we may celebrate all that this brings to us.
The Reverend Laurel Deery, our Deacon, will preach at 8:00 am and 10:30 am. David Ashton will be offering the reflection at the 5:00 pm Celtic Meditations. There will be no communion this week for Celtic Meditations.
The anthem at 10:30 am is Noel Rawsthorne's "Christ is our cornerstone."
Following Celtic Meditations, we are invited to David Ashton's house for a light supper and Bible Study.
Come and follow Christ to Grace Church this Sunday.

Celtic Service every Sunday at 5:00 pm
|
Each day's worship at Iona has a general theme. One of the days, prayers, music, readings and poetry focus on commitment to Christ. We will use much of this service from Iona for our Celtic Meditations this week. Following the time in the church, David Ashton has invited participants to his home for a meal and bible study.
All are welcome no matter where you are in your search for meaning.

February Dance: On February 6th from 6-8, Grace Church will host a dance for the fourth grade class, their teachers and their families. Please save the date now so you can come and dance the early evening away and have fun with our adopted class of students.
After School Program: We are applying to be an official after school program for the fourth graders at the Bowditch School. This will mean that the schools will provide transportation to Grace Church for students enrolled in our program. If approved, we will be offering musical instruction on Wednesdays followed by other projects such as cooking, reading and crafts.
We will keep you updated on our progress and of ways you can support this endeavor as we continue to support the fourth graders at the NBS.

Leadership Development Initiative Training: Foundations of Collaborative Leadership
Did you know that seven members of Grace Church are spending Saturday learning how to be better communicators, organizers and leaders? This training is being underwritten by the North Shore Mission Hub, of which Grace Church is a member.
The following are attending this event: David Ashton, Kourtni Brown, The Rev. Laurel Deery, Ingrid Fox, Paige Nalipinski, Ryan Patten and Eric Wagner. Please ask them about their experience when you see them on Sunday.

Annual Meeting on February 1 at 11:45 am

If you chair a committee, please remember to e-mail your report to the Vestry Clerk, Peggy Carter at [email protected]

We were able to purchase, through generous donations from Priscilla Lemons, Joanne Moar and Anne Busteed, two computers with updated software for financial records and for Stewardship. Eric Wagner donated his time and talent in getting these online. Thank you from us at Grace Church for these gifts.
