Announcing the Grand Finale for our
Living Energy of Needs
retreats:  2012

Greetings!

We are pleased to be offering two of our 7-day retreats in 2012 (see next section for details), and we would like to let you know about changes we are making starting in 2013.

As you might know, the NVC Training Institute was founded in 2000 by Robert Gonzales, Susan Skye, Towe Widstrand and Wes Taylor to provide in-depth training worldwide in Nonviolent Communication. (the team has since grown to include Gregg
Kendrick, Gina Lawrie and Jeff Brown, while

and Gina Lawrie at our "Living Energy of Needs"
in Switzerland in October 2011.
Towe retired from the team in 2007).

Since that time, we have organized and delivered more than 35 residential retreats in eight countries including Denmark, Sweden,
the U.K., Switzerland, Canada, Germany and throughout the U.S.

The year 2012 will be a grand finale for us, at least in terms of how we have worked together thus far.

After this year, we will no longer be initiating and organizing our own events, including our flagship retreat, "The Living Energy of Needs."

Over the past eleven years, we have experienced tremendous
joy and growth in working together.  At this point, we are all fully stretched with our own independent work and this leaves precious little time and energy to continue scheduling, planning, organizing and hosting NVCTI retreats.

We want to spend our time directly sharing our work with others.

Having said all of this, feel free to contact us if you would like to invite one or more trainers to facilitate a training that you organize and host.

Empathy Mill If you have questions or already know that you want to invite one or more of us to facilitate a training, email us.

We celebrate having been able to organize 35 successful NVC retreats since 2000, and deeply appreciate those of you who have been with us to share this journey.

If you want to experience one of our grand finale NVC Training Institute trainings, please join us:

1)   Living Energy of Needs:
    June 30 - July 7, 2012 in Colorado, USA

2)  European NVC Train-the-Trainer
    November 9-16, 2012 in Gloucestershire, U.K.

Please see below for details about these events, or contact us if you have any questions.  We hope to see you at one of these events for our grand finale!

To support the most number of people in attending, we offer discounts for registering with other people, by the earlybird date (April 9), and Certified Trainers with the Center for Nonviolent Communication.

  * Effectively facilitate Living Energy of Needs practices, including "Transforming the Pain of Unmet Needs" (our central practice)

  * Support and coach others using the NVC Dance Floors.

  * Integrate a range of facilitation approaches for use in a variety of groups.

  * Identify and transform your blocks from full connection with life energy.

  * Use somatic and kinesthetic practices to share NVC more effectively, and enhance your connection with life energy.

Please note:  This training is designed for people offering NVC training in formal or semi-formal settings such as trainings, introductions, practice groups or coaching.  We ask that each participant is familiar with the Living Energy of Needs approach to NVC.

Susan Skye
Susan Skye is the creator and lead trainer for New Depths.
As a result of the amazing breakthroughs in brain research, we now fully understand how we humans end up in patterns of pain and dissatisfaction, why relationships fail, why we suffer from upsets, addictions, anxiety, and depression.

This opens up immense possibilities for human healing and happiness.

New Depths is designed to give you the information and process work to clear unconscious emotional reactivity and negative thought patterns.

This program will provide the map, the guidelines and, very importantly, a level of individual and group process work that is new to most, and transformational for all.
  Areas of emphasis include:
  • The Map of Human Well Being.
  • The Limbic Alarm System - how we get hijacked.
  • Working with Childhood Trauma.
  • Working with Addictive Behaviors.
  • Creating Internal Systems Integration and Partnership.
  • Deepening our Capacity for Intimacy - Emotional and Sexual.

Gregg Kendrick, creator and lead trainer for this retreat.

    21-28 October 2012:  Germany (Oberstdorf)

18-25 November 2012:  South Korea (Seoul)

This is not your typical NVC workshop. Grounded in the "living energy of needs," this workshop offers a unique experience of NVC where you will experience both the gentleness of compassion and empathy AND the fierceness of purpose and clarity. We will introduce you to a new level of needs, the needs of the WE, which is the heart of any living organization.

This is also not your typical business workshop. The learning experience is rich with somatic/"whole body" exercises, percussion beats, creative expressions of your deepest potential, and daily rememberings. We want you to experience the "power" within "power-with" leadership.

Go here for more information about this training.
