Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Association presents a discussion with Dr. Jacob Bourjaily

Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Assn. meetings move back to Schuler Books and Music on 28th Street at 7 p.m. on October 15th, when one of the Association's accomplished alumni will be speaker.   Dr Jacob Bourjaily recently was named to Harvard University's Society of Fellows after completing his PhD at Princeton University.  While in high school, he was active in GRAAA and on the staff of Chaffee Planetarium, where he said he first got an opportunity to share his love of science with others.    He is very interested in solving the mystery of dark matter that seems to permeate the universe, and will speak on the subject:   "The Structure of Matter and Dark Matter - It Does Matter"    Jake is not only a scholar, but a good communicator, so don't miss his presentation.  A social period will follow in Schuler's Chapbook Cafe.
