Worforce Center Hosting Job Fairs in WP and Cripple Creek
The Pikes Peak Workforce Center presents two Job Fairs in Teller County next week, Wednesday, April 25 in Woodland Park, and Thursday, April 26 in Cripple Creek.
Open to the general public (ages 16+), the Teller County Job Fairs will each have several dozen employers from a variety of industries.

April 15 Homestead Trail Hike 9:15 am Meet at Homestead Trailhead This loop includes several trails going by Geer Pond and the beautiful Bacon Rock formation! Friday, April 20 Grouse Mountain Trail to Cahill Cabin Hike 9:15 am Meet at the Comfort Station Hike through the campground to Grouse Mountain Trail then loop on a favorite trail going by the Cahill Cabin. Moderate 4 miles. Watch for animal tracks and signs of spring! Find parking at the Comfort Station, extra spaces in the campground or at Elk Meadow and carpool. Be prepared for any weather! Tuesday, April 24 Black Bear Trail to Nobel Cabin Hike 9:15 am Meet at the Comfort Station Join Volunteer Naturalist Cindi on this 4 mile moderate hike out to Nobel Cabin by way of the Black Bear Trail. Dress for the weather! Park in extra spaces by the Comfort Station or at Elk Meadow and carpool!

Mueller Outdoor Skills Day - Save the Date
Don't miss the annual Outdoor Skills Day at Mueller Saturday, June 23! Activities for the whole family! Learn more about your favorite outdoor activity or try out a new hobby! Activities will include: bait fishing, fly fishing, target shooting with shotguns, 22's and bb guns, archery, camping, geocaching, Bear Aware, spelunking - climb through a simulated cave! And much more! All activities are free - vehicle park pass is required. In years past, this event was held in May. This year the date is June 23, 2018!

Traveling Medicine Shows
Join us at the Pikes Peak Historical Society May Chautauqua when Kathy Herrin will present an interesting program on the Traveling Medicine Show. Find out more about "snake oil" and intriguing patent remedies, all touting to "cure what ails you." Surprisingly, some are still on the market today!
Kathy Herrin has spent more than two decades in the Criminal Justice field. She also served as the Director of Academic Services at the Fremont Campus of Pueblo Community College.
You are invited to learn more about the Traveling Medicine Shows at the PPHS Chautauqua on Sunday, May 20th at 2pm at the Florissant Library, 334 Circle Drive, Florissant. This program is presented as a public service of the Pikes Peak Historical Society in partnership with the Rampart Range Library System.
Admission is free, refreshments are served. No reservation required but seating is limited.
