Traffic Update-June 24 - June 30
US 24 Rockfall Mitigation
Speed limits to be strictly enforced
Rockfall Mitigation on US 24 will begin at mile point (MP) 294 and continue to MP 301. East and westbound motorists can expect a single lane configuration with east and westbound traffic head to head on the eastbound lane, reduced speed limits, extended commute time for congestion in the work zone, and 11 ft. width restriction during working hours. Bicyclists are discouraged from riding through the construction zone during hours of operations.
Work this week will consist of rock scaling, drilling, and installing rock anchors.
This week the project work hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Drivers are asked to obey all speed limit reductions and construction road signs during this time.

Woodland Park Pine Needle Round-up
Constant increases in cost of disposal of trash at the Divide Transfer Station has made it hard for many families to dispose of their pine needles which causes concerns in case of an approaching wild fire. NE Teller County Fire District and Long Branch Construction Services want to provide you an easier and cheaper way to dispose of your pine needles to help promote fire mitigation in Woodland Park.
Help promote fire mitigation in Woodland Park by raking and bagging pine needles around your home. Bring to NE Teller County Fire Department on 1010 Evergreen Heights Drive in Woodland Park on June 23rd, 2018 between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
Donations of $3.00 per bag is greatly appreciated but not required (to help cover the cost of disposal.)
Only bags of pine needles will be accepted! No branches or trash will be accepted!
