What's Happening at Mueller

Mueller State Park is open every day for hiking, camping and enjoying the outdoors!  The Visitor Center is open 9:00 am until 4:00 pm during the winter months. The Visitor Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.  It will be open New Year's Day for our First Day Hikes!  Start out 2018 on the right foot with a hike in a state park!
 
Weather in the mountains this time of year is variable. The trails may be dry or have snow.  Snow shoes are recommended with deep snow.  Check the website or call for conditions.  cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/Mueller or call 719.687.2366.

Thanksgiving Day
The Visitor Center will be closed, but the park is open.
 
November 25
Hike: Stoner Mill and School Pond Trails
9:15 am Meet at School Pond Trailhead
Join Naturalist Cindi to hike Stoner Mill and School Pond Trails.  Enjoy the tranquility through 2 miles of forest and meadow. 
 
November 26
Hike: Homestead Trail
9:30 am Meet at Homestead Trailhead
Enjoy peace and quiet on this 2 mile trail.  Visit an old homestead and imagine what it was like to survive off the land.  Led by Naturalist Rose.

lions logo The beneficiary for the LSOC this year is Lions Club International with funds to go to the local Lions Camp.  As it's the 50th anniversary of Disney's Jungle Book, we'll be having a "Jingle in the Jungle" parade this year.  Join in the fun!

Cookies for Lights of Love 
 
Dear Community Friends ,
 
Prospect Home Care & Hospice 29th Annual "Lights of Love" event is December 7 at the Ute Pass Cultural Center in Woodland Park at 6 p.m.
 
We are starting to sign up for donations of cookies/desserts to have at our refreshment table at the "Lights of Love" event. It can be cookies, or any finger type dessert. Donations need to be to Prospect office December 6.
 
Don't forget to call me at 687.0549 or e-mail me at jlareau@prospecthch.org to add your name to cookie list to make sure we have plenty for our refreshment table.
 
If able to volunteer to help set up or volunteer at the event let me know. Volunteers are what make the "Lights of Love" such a great success.
