Are you working to improve the health of your community? The Colorado Health Foundation one of our new Chamber members, can help. The Foundation is bringing health in reach for all Coloradans by engaging closely with communities across the state through investing, policy and advocacy, learning and capacity building.
The Foundation takes a multifaceted approach to health by investing in nonprofits, communities and the public and private sectors that matter most to improving health and health equity. Celebrate National Public Lands Day at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument Saturday

fossil beds In honor of National Public Lands Day, fees will be waived at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument as well as the 400 plus other national park units across the United States.

Special National Public Lands Day Activities:
  • Bird Hike, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Meet at the Visitor Center.
  • Aspen Leaf Hike, 9:00 am - 11:00 pm. Meet at the Visitor Center.
  • Hornbek Homestead Tours, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Meet at the Hornbek Homestead Parking Lot off of County Road Teller 1.
  • Junior Ranger Concert, 11:00 am.  Outdoor Amphitheater behind the Visitor Center.
  • President Teddy Roosevelt, 1:00 pm.  Outdoor Amphitheater behind the Visitor Center.
  • Fossil Learning Lab, 1:30 - 3:30 pm. Meet in the yurt located in the picnic area near the Visitor Center.
  • Ranger Talk, 4:00 pm.  Meet in the amphitheater behind the visitor center.

Traffic Impacts: Travel lanes reduced to one lane in both direction for Cold In Place Recycling (CIPR) and paving.
  • Monday, Sept. 18, Mile Post (MP) 65 to 68 Northbound and MP 55 to 57 Southbound
  • Tuesday, Sept. 19, MP 66 to 69 Northbound and MP 58 to 60 Southbound
  • Wednesday, Sept. 20, MP 69 to 66 Northbound AND MP 59 to 61 Southbound
  • Thursday, Sept. 21, MP 67 to 64 Northbound AND MP 60 to 62 Southbound
  • Friday, Sept. 22, 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. - MP 65 to 61 Northbound

Lane restrictions - Travel reduced to one lane in both directions for paving operations sign/delineator installation .

  • Tuesday, Sept. 19, MP to 80 to 87 Northbound
  • Wednesday, Sept. 20, MP 83 to 90 Northbound
  • Thursday, Sept. 21, MP 86 to 92 Northbound
  • Friday, Sept. 22, MP 89 to 92 Northbound
