Celebrate National Public Lands Day at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument Saturday
In honor of National Public Lands Day, fees will be waived at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument as well as the 400 plus other national park units across the United States.
Special National Public Lands Day Activities:
- Bird Hike, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Meet at the Visitor Center.
- Aspen Leaf Hike, 9:00 am - 11:00 pm. Meet at the Visitor Center.
- Hornbek Homestead Tours, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Meet at the Hornbek Homestead Parking Lot off of County Road Teller 1.
- Junior Ranger Concert, 11:00 am. Outdoor Amphitheater behind the Visitor Center.
- President Teddy Roosevelt, 1:00 pm. Outdoor Amphitheater behind the Visitor Center.
- Fossil Learning Lab, 1:30 - 3:30 pm. Meet in the yurt located in the picnic area near the Visitor Center.
- Ranger Talk, 4:00 pm. Meet in the amphitheater behind the visitor center.
