Daily, 11:00 am, Ranger-Guided Hike are you ready to meet the "Big Stump"
Daily, 1:30- 3:30 pm, Fossil Learning Lab (Yurt) Get "up-close and personal" with fossils!

Be prepared for doing yoga poses and also hiking. Bring water, sun protection, and dress in layers. Meet at the visitor center.

September 30, Aspen Leaf Hike, 9:00 am - 11:00 am.
Join a ranger for a 2 hour, 3 mile hike to view hidden pockets of golden aspen leaves in the Monument. Meet at the visitor center.
September 30. Public Lands Day and Fee Free Day with President Teddy Roosevelt. Celebrate our nation's public lands by visiting Florissant Fossil Beds for free! Teddy Roosevelt, the Conservation President, will be here and give a 30 - 45 minute talk about public lands at 1:00 pm in the amphitheater behind the visitor center.

Last Chance for Elk Bugling Tours at Florissant Fossil Beds
Last chance for Elk Hikes. Join a ranger for a RESERVATION ONLY hike, after hours to listen to the magical sounds of elk bugling. These are 1 - 2 mile hikes are off trail over rugged terrain. Times and Dates vary (see below). Reservations can be made by calling Ranger Jeff at 719.748.3253 ext. 202.

Available Now at Ute Pass Historical Society
This year we have two calendars available for 2018! The Green Mountain Falls edition, and the Ute Pass edition. Both are available only at the UPHS Gift Shop for $12 + tax each.
These beautiful pictorial calendars make great gifts!
The Gift Shop is located next to the Woodland Park Public Library at 231 E. Henrietta Avenue. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm.

Mountain Top Cycling Club to Meet in Divide
Mountain Top Cycling Club is meeting 7 pm October 3 at Mc Ginty's in Divide. Jane Enger, MPH, Health Coach for True Life Medicine (7 years) will be the guest speaker. Jane is (AFAA) certified Fitness Instructor (30 years). Jane will be talking about High-intensity interval training (HIIT), or sprint interval training (SIT), a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods, to improve physical fitness and performance. Club meetings are open to the public.
