Elk Bugling Tours at Fossil Beds

elk Elk Hikes. Join a ranger for a RESERVATION ONLY hike, after hours to listen to the magical sounds of elk bugling. These are 1 - 2 mile hikes are off trail over rugged terrain.  Times and Dates vary (see below).    Reservations can be made by calling Ranger Jeff at 719.748.3253 ext. 202.

Congratulations Kim Monjesky

Kim Monjesky,CEO of Pikes Peak Regional Hospital, has been Kim recognized by Becker's Healthcare as one of the top 60 Critical Care Hospital CEO's to know in 2017.

The men and women included on this list are at the helm of organizations regularly recognized for safety and quality. Many led their hospitals through expansions, mergers and EHR implementations. The individuals on this list are also key members of the community, serving on corporate boards and state-level initiatives to improve access to care.

In December 2015, Kim Monjesky transitioned from CFO to CEO of Pikes Peak Regional Hospital. The 15-bed hospital opened in 2007 as part of the Franklin, Tenn. based Iasis Healthcare network. Pike's Peak was one of five Colorado hospitals to receive top HCAHPS survey marks for nurse communication in 2017.
Rainbow of Hope Heart

Heart The Pediatric Congenital Heart Association of Colorado is participating in the Cruise Above the Clouds Sept. 9 at Memorial Park. PCHA is conducting a Rainbow of Hope Heart fundraiser to assist in funding of much needed research.

Forty thousand children are born in the US every year with a congenital heart defect. Twenty-five percent have open heart surgery within weeks of birth. Help us this worthy cause.

  • Monday, Sept. 11, Mile Post (MP) 54 to 56 Northbound AND MP65 to 67 Northbound
  • Tuesday, Sept. 12, MP 56 to 57.5 Northbound AND MP 67 to 69.5 Northbound
  • Wednesday, Sept. 13, MP 57.5 to 59 Northbound AND MP 69.5 to 68 Southbound
  • Thursday, Sept. 14, MP 59 to 60 Northbound AND MP 68 to 66 Southbound
