June and July were busy months here at Great Bay Services! We've got some great articles in this newsletter including an update on a community service project from our quilting group, a Car Wash and Bake Sale Fundraiser, a staff member spotlight and of course our 2nd Annual Fancy Dance!

2nd Annual Fancy Dance!
On Saturday June 27th, Great Bay Services held its Fancy Dance at the Newington Town Hall. Our wonderful ladies and gents dressed up and spent the night dancing, laughing and singing along to great music! Thank you to Empire Beauty Schools of Portsmouth, The Rotary Club of Dover, Jason Strycharz, and all the staff and volunteers who helped to make another successful night!

Quilters Give Back to Their Community!

Car Wash and Bake Sale a success!
On June 18th Great Bay Services held a Car Wash and Bake Sale helping to raise funds for special activities. DJ Rick Rozek donated his services and provided music for our hard workers and guests. We ended this busy day with a barbecue lunch, burgers and hot dogs donated to us by Favorite Foods!

Staff Spotlight: Amy Brown
Great Bay Services would like to spotlight one of our staff members this month, Amy Brown. Amy Brown is a Community Integration Specialist here at GBS. Joining us in June of 2013, Amy has become a valued staff member, co-worker, and friend.

"Noche Mexicana" at Margaritas in Portsmouth!
Join us at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, 775 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth, NH on Thursday, August 27 from 4:00 to close. Margaritas will host a Noche Mexicana Fundraiser and donate 15% of pre-taxed food and beverage sales from participating families, friends and supporters to Great Bay Services. Guests can choose items from any of their menus, takeout orders included.

Great Bay Services was the first New Hampshire organization of its kind dedicated to helping intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals. For six decades, in locations across southern New Hampshire and Maine, we've supported them, their families, those who care for them, and those in our communities that participate alongside them in the wealth of activities and classes we offer at our community center.
