Introducing the Great Escape Rewards Program! Beginning May 1st and running through September 30th, you'll get 5% back for every $200 you spend. The rewards are cumulative, so you can use it right away or let it stack up and use it on something big! The rewards program does not apply to consignment items, tournament entries, or room rentals but everything else is fair game.

The new Warmachine Colossals are due to be released in July of this year - these things are HUGE! We will not be carrying these models, but we will be happy to pre-order them for you and apply a 20% discount! We encourage everyone who wants one to let us know so we can get them in as soon as possible.
Magic Release Party - Avacyn Restored
The latest Magic set will be in the store on Friday, May 4th. Boosters, Intro packs, Fat packs, everything you need! As part of our usual FNM that night, we'll be hosting a $25 Sealed tournament and two separate Drafts, at 4pm and 8pm. Don't miss it! Yu-Gi-Oh Release Party - Galactic Overlord On Wednesday, May 9th we'll be getting our first shipments of Galactic Overlord, the new set for Yu-Gi-Oh. If you remember the Order of Chaos release in January, we'll be doing that again - $10 entry, tons of prize support including packs of the new set, and pizza for everyone! The new set looks to have some really good cards, so show up at 5:30 and get ready to rock! Did you know... We've got an air hockey table now? Its in the game room and its only 50 cents a game. Its fully electronic, everything works, and a certain store owner tells me he has never been beaten in over 200 games (disclaimer - may be a *slight* exaggeration). Sounds like a challenge to me...give the table a try next time you're in! |

Whats happening this month?
Friday, May 4: MtG Avacyn Restored Release party! Starting at 7pm with a $25 Sealed Tournament - 6 packs of the new set! We'll also be hosting $15 Drafts at 4 and 8pm.
Saturday, May 5: The SAWS Challenge returns! The tournament starts at 9am and will run all day. The game room will be full, but we still have private gaming rooms available for rent.
Sunday, May 6: Day 2 of the SAWS Challenge. Private rooms will be available to rent until 6pm.
Wednesday, May 9: Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament and Release Party! Celebrate the release of Galactic Overlord - for $10, there'll be pizza, big prize support, and everyone gets a pack of the new set!
Thursday, May 17: EDH Tournament. 7pm start time, $5 entry.
Saturday, May 19: Warhammer 40K Contest of Champions. Signup is open from 9 to 10am, first game at 10:30am. $15 for pre-registration or $20 the day of the tournament. 1750 points. The third tournament of the season! See our website for more information.
Sunday, May 20: Warmachine and Hordes Steamroller Tournament starting at noon, $5 entry. We'll be playing 4 rounds, bring two 25 point lists.
Sunday, May 20: Paint class at noon, everyone's welcome and there's no cost. We'll be working on vehicles - getting started, weathering, and adding little touches to make them look great.
Monday, May 21: Heroclix Infinity Gauntlet month 5, starting at 6pm. 2 boosters, $20 entry.
Tuesday, May 22: Warmachine and Hordes Journeyman League. We start with just a Battlegroup Box or one of the new Hordes Battlegroup Starters, and play some quick games. Then, every week the points bump up a bit and let you expand your forces. Check the Great Escape Forums for info.
Saturday, May 26: Avacyn Restored Game Day at noon, no entry cost. We'll be hosting a Standard tournament, giving out full-art cards as prizes, and top 8 receive a foil full art card, Killing Wave.
Saturday May 26: Savage Worlds Demo Day. Get a free copy of the Test Drive rules, talk to some of the writers, and get your game on! The fun starts at noon, and there is no cost to join.
Monday, May 28: Great Escape Games will be closed for Memorial Day.

Jeff's pick: Lords of Waterdeep (Wizards, $49.99) Lords of Waterdeep is a strategy board game for 2-5 players. You take on the role of one of the masked Lords of Waterdeep, secret rulers of the famous Forgotten Realms city. Through your agents, you recruit adventurers to go on quests on your behalf, earning rewards and increasing your influence over the city. Expand the city by purchasing new buildings that open up new actions on the board, and you can choose to hinder or help the other lords by playing intrigue cards to enact your carefully laid plans. Plus, when I was younger people said I looked like Piergeiron.
Sirus's pick: NEW Citadel Paints  (Games Workshop, $3.70)I've been using Citadel Paints since the late 80s. I was used to the colors, I was used to having to blend to fill in holes in the range, and to make due with what was available. The new range fixes all that! Base paints for a foundation, Layer paints serve as the workhorses of the range, Shades and Glazes make painting minis all around easier, Textured paints to make quick work of bases, and I especially like the Dry paints - perfect for drybrushing without the hassle and waste! Gary's pick: Heroclix Galactic Guardians (Wizkids, $14.99 boosters) From the corners of space comes the Marvel HeroClix set Galactic Guardians. Surf the spaceways or explore the astral plane with all-new versions of the Silver Surfer and Dr Strange, join the fight with the Skrulls or the Nova corps, or crush your enemies with Galactus! This eagerly awaited expansion has some great figures and ties in neatly to the ongoing Infinity Gauntlet. Gerardo's pick: Nicodem, Avatar of Decay
