WWII Living HIstory

The Blair County Historical Society will be hosting its first annual WWII Living History Weekend this weekend at Baker Mansion. The mansion and will stand in for a French chateau for the skirmish scenario reenactments on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. In addition to Living History demonstrations, local veterans will be on hand to share their stories. An activity tent, children activities and Casablanca will be shown on front lawn Saturday night. 2012 Pints for Pets Brewfest

The 2012 Pints for Pets Brewfest to benefit the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society will take place next Saturday at People Natural Gas Field. Sample craft beers from over 70 breweries from across the country and around the world! This high-energy event is this region's largest brewfest. First Session starts at 1:00pm. (more info)

Taste of the Alleghenies

The Park at Morrison's Cove is holding Taste of the Alleghenies this weekend at The Park at Morrisons Cove with a two-day vendor show and exhibitors ranging from restaurants to cookware companies. Each day will be highlighted by cooking demonstrations featuring regional chefs. Tickets start at only $10 for general admission each day. (more info)
